On February 1, 1996, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Human Resources Committee and the Ministry of Labor (now the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security) Labor and Social Security Research Institute jointly joined the community, relevant enterprises and institutions and organizations in Beijing officially registered and established.

On October 5, 1996, Beijing Association for the Promotion of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation and Peking University signed an agreement to jointly establish a legal person institution - Peking University Asia-Pacific Education Center and Social Development Research Institute (which was revoked in 2005 due to the reform of the education system).

On February 1, 2015, Beijing Association for the Promotion of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, the China International Economic Cooperation Promotion Association, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the China Pacific Economic Cooperation National Business Council, and domestic and foreign NGOs jointly launched the Asia Pacific Business at the APEC International Conference Center in Yanqi Lake.

On April 10, 2015, in response to the national “Internet +” call, Beijing Association for the Promotion of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation and the Chamber of Commerce Technology Co., Ltd. jointly developed the “Commerce Association APP” mobile Internet management social cloud platform, which was launched in 2016. The month was officially launched.

December 10-12, 2016, the Global Business Association will be co-sponsored by Beijing Association for the Promotion of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association, the China International Civil Society Cooperation Promotion Association, and the Ministry of Civil Affairs China Social Organization Promotion Association. On November 27-29, 2017, in order to help SMEs to participate in the Asia-Pacific regional economic cooperation and the development of the “Belt and Road” initiative,Beijing Association for the Promotion of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation and Asia-Pacific Business Association Alliance in Beijing Yanqi Lake APEC International Convention and Exhibition Center, Beijing People The General Assembly Hall held the "2017 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Annual Meeting and Asia-Pacific Diplomat Friendship Association".

On November 21, 2018, the "2018 Asia-Pacific International Economic Cooperation Annual Meeting" co-sponsored by Beijing Academy of Blockchain Consensus and Beijing Association for the Promotion of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation was held at the Beijing International Hotel. The conference was based on the theme of “Global Consensus and Sharing in the Digital Age”.
